• Sports profile: your role (Athlete, Coach, or Club), sport(s), position, achievements, performance statistics, and career highlights.
• Content you post: photos, videos, captions, event listings, and trial details.
• Messages and communications you exchange with other users.
• Feedback, support requests, or reports you submit to us.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version.
• Usage data: features you use, content you view, searches you perform, and how long you spend on different parts of the app.
• Log data: IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, and crash reports.
• Push notification tokens: to deliver notifications via OneSignal.
• Analytics data: collected via Firebase Analytics and PostHog to understand usage patterns and improve the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

1. Providing the service: To create and manage your account, display your profile to other users, and enable you to post content, discover events, and connect with athletes, coaches, and clubs.
2. Personalisation: To show you relevant athletes, coaches, clubs, events, and opportunities based on your sport, location, and activity on the platform.
3. Notifications: To send you push notifications about activity on your profile, messages, new events, and platform updates. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
4. Improving grndIN: To analyse usage trends, diagnose technical issues (via Sentry), and develop new features.
5. Safety and integrity: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms and Conditions.
6. Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With other users: Your public profile — including your name, photo, sport, role, and content you post — is visible to other grndIN users as part of the service.
• With service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the platform, including OneSignal (push notifications), Firebase (analytics), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and Railway (cloud hosting). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and may only use your data for the services they provide to us.
• For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of grndIN, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: If grndIN is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it for a longer period. Certain content (such as messages sent to other users) may remain in those users' histories.

1. Access and correction: You can view and update your profile information at any time from within the app.
2. Account deletion: You can delete your account from the app settings. This will permanently remove your profile and content from grndIN.
3. Notifications: You can opt out of push notifications through your device's notification settings or within the app.
4. Data portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at support@grndin.in.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

grndIN may contain links to third-party websites, profiles, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any personal information with them.

9. Children's Privacy

grndIN is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
